MacPlay has announced that it is now shipping Icewind Dale for Mac OS 8/9 and Mac OS X, a fantasy role-playing game that follows the third edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules, as noted by MacCentral. The game lets players control a party of up to six characters as they travel across a range of ice-covered mountains, collecting treasure, accomplishing quests and battling all forms of monsters. Icewind Dale also offers TCP/IP-based multiplayer gameplay and support for the online gaming service GameRanger. Icewind Dale sells for US$49.99.
