Lexmark today introduced five new USB-based, Mac-compatible color inkjet printers: the Lexmark Z65, Z55, Z45, Z35, and Z25. The US$199 Z65 features 4800×1200 dpi resolution — an industry first — and print speeds of 21 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 15 ppm in color. The $129 Z55 features 3600×1200 dpi resolution and print speeds of 17 ppm in black and 13 ppm in color. The $89 Z45 features 2400×1200 dpi resolution and print speeds of 15 ppm in black and 9 ppm in color. The $69 Z35 features 2400×1200 dpi resolution and print speeds of 11 ppm in black and 6 ppm in color. The $49 Z25, which functions as either a single- or dual-head printer, features 1200×1200 dpi resolution and print speeds of 9 ppm in black and 6 ppm in color. All five printers will be available later this month.
