AppMac Software has released mSecure 2.0, a new version of its tool for securing Macs in public places, and eKiosk 3.0, which helps transform a Mac into a public Internet kiosk. New features in mSecure 2.0 include background operation, better management of PowerKey, disabled force quit command, and a redesigned interface. eKiosk 3.0 now features an eKiosk extension for disabling keys, POP3 e-mail support, support for Internet Explorer 5.1, and improved stability. Both applications are supported under Mac OS 8/9; a Mac OS X preview version of eKiosk 3.0 is also available. mSecure 2.0 and eKiosk 3.0 sell for US$99 each.
