IDG World Expo today announced that Apple has joined the lineup of exhibitors who will be at the BioITWorld Conference & Expo. The premier BioITWorld is being held at the World Trade Center in Boston from March 12-14 and represents “the first event for bioscience professionals to focus exclusively on information technologies that are transforming the life sciences throughout the entire discovery and development process.” Apple’s influence on the scientific community has increased significantly since the release of Mac OS X; earlier this month, Apple and Genentech released BLAST for Mac OS X, a scientific research tool that performs significantly faster on Apple’s hardware than comparable PCs.
