Appgen, Inc. has begun shipping MyBooks 6.0 for Mac OS X, a new version of its accounting software for small to mid-sized businesses. Designed as an alternative to QuickBooks, MyBooks aims to simplify the accounting process while also providing an option for conducting higher level eBusiness by plugging into enterprise applications of larger companies. The software provides an audit trail and makes use of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to validate, simplify and protect a business. MyBooks is available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux in a 10 user license for US$799.
