Maxum Development Announces NetCloak For Mac OS X

May 24, 2001. Maxum Development has announced that NetCloak, the popular
Web server enhancement that makes building dynamic and interactive Web
sites drag-and-drop easy, will soon be available for Mac OS X. The news was
released to coincide with the latest press release from 4D, Inc. regarding
WebStar V, since the two products are being designed to work flawlessly
together.

Apple releases CarbonLib SDK

Apple released CarbonLib 1.4a1 SDK for devleopers at WWDC today. The latest pre-release version of the CarbonLib SDK for Mac OS is now available to all ADC Members. This SDK provides all the files needed to begin Carbon development. CarbonLib 1.4 supports Mac OS 8.6 and greater.

LCD prices to rise

Apple announced a few days ago that they would be moving their line of monitors entirely to LCD. A report in The Register says prices for large-size LCDs will stop falling this year and then rise next year, which could have an affect on monitor prices. Apple introduced a 17 inch LCD during their Worldwide Developer Conference.
