Hot on the heals of their 1.0.1 release, CE Software has announced the QuicKeys 1.0.2 update. Version 1.0.2 adds new options to hide, show and hide other applications, a new “Insert Text” option that increases typing speed with Type Text, and several new features, bug fixes and speed enhancements.

MYOB AccountEdge Version 2, the small business accounting and management software for Mac OS X, has been updated to version 5.5.5, according to VersionTracker. The update enhances compatibility of downloaded bank and credit card statements and resolves other minor issues encountered by some users.

Corel president and CEO Derek Burney today outlined his company’s plan to make key investments in research and development and emerging markets in order to attain continued revenue growth. As a result, Corel expects to post sequential losses in 2002 as the company “invests in the future.” Burney described the launch of procreate, the company’s new professional graphics brand largely targeted at Mac graphics professionals, as being extremely successful.

ViewSonic today introduced the A90f, a 19-inch CRT display that features ViewSonic’s PerfectFlat screen technology, a 0.25 dot pitch, and support for resolutions up to 1600×1200. The display is available now for US$299.

Mac OS 9.2.2 is now available for download via Mac OS 9’s Software Update control panel. According to the description, the update “improves Classic application compatibility in Mac OS X and delivers updated support for Macintosh systems that are based on the PowerPC G3 or G4 processor.”
