ZDNet’s Matthew Rothenberg has published another column detailing the relationship between Adobe’s products and Mac OS X. Of note, the column states that Adobe will not be exhibiting at Macworld Expo next month, and Rothenberg speculates that InDesign 2.0 will be among the first Adobe applications to be Carbonized.

MacOSX.org has published an article on Vlc, a DVD client from VideoLan that has been ported to Mac OS X. While the performance thus far is “weak,” the article describes how to install the software and get it running under Mac OS X.

FirewireDirect has begun shipping the FireWire DV WebCam, which delivers 30 frames per second at a resolution of 640×480. The US$99.95 WebCam features a detachable base, 1/3″ CCD, and includes Smith Micro’s VideoLink for Mac.
