SONICblue, best known for its MP3 players, today introduced its Advanced Digital Audio Center, which integrates into a user’s home stereo and allows CDs to be recorded to its 40GB hard drive, played over a receiver, copied to a portable player, or burned back onto another CD. Apple Makes Combo Drives Standard on PowerBook G4 Line

CUPERTINO, California-December 17, 2001-Apple=AE today announced that it has
made slot-loading Combo (CD-RW/DVD-ROM) optical drives standard across its
entire award-winning Titanium PowerBook=AE G4 notebook line.

“The Titanium PowerBook G4 is one of the most successful notebook computers
of all time, and we are making it even better,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s
senior director of Hardware Product Marketing.

The versatile slot-loading Combo drive lets customers watch DVD movies and
burn custom music or data CDs.
