Gateway looks to LCDs for sales boost
In an effort to spur sales and differentiate itself from the competition, Gateway today announced a new focus on LCD displays that includes several new computer bundles that include the flat-panel displays. At the lowest end, the US$999 300SP features a 1GHz Intel Celeron, 128MB of RAM, 20GB hard drive, CD-RW, and 15-inch flat panel display. Apple has long been rumored to be working on an LCD iMac, although the company has never alluded to any such product.

Feral Interactive has released a demo of Championship Manager 01/02, its popular soccer management simulation. The game is compatible with both OS 8/9 and Mac OS X. In addition, The Omni Group has released a “sneaky peek” Cocoa version of Oni, the third-person 3D action game developed by Bungie Studios. The test Cocoa version requires a full version of Oni as well as Mac OS X 10.1.
