More than 21 million people in the United States used high speed Internet access from home in November, according to new data from Nielsen/NetRatings, as reported by c|net. The numbers mean that one in five people online at home have a broadband connection, a 90 percent increase from the same time last year. Analyst T.S. Kelly credits the growth to savvy service packaging from DSL and cable modem providers, but warns that growth amid the recession will slow unless companies begin to offer a wider array of speeds and prices.
