Judge Thomas Carlson Friday postponed his decision on whether to approve US$355 million in contracts between Excite@Home and several cable companies, including Cox Communications, Comcast and Mediacom, according to c|net. The contracts would enable Excite@Home to maintain the broadband service through February and help switch customers from its network to the cable companies’ own networks. The postponed ruling allows bondholders more time to determine the releases of claims that Excite@Home may waive in exchange for the transition contracts with the cable partners.
