Apple this afternoon announced that four of the leading movie trailer companies in Hollywood—The Cimarron Group, Trailer Park, Aspect Ratio, and New Wave Media—have switched the majority of their editing systems to Final Cut Pro this year, making Apple’s high-end digital video editing software the preferred means for creating trailers and commercials. Among the high-profile list of movies whose trailers have been created on Final Cut Pro are: Planet of the Apes, Lord of the Rings and Training Day.
