Apple’s iBook has received top awards in the PC Notebook category from both Australian Personal Computer Magazine and the >APC Technology Awards 2001. Both organizations cited the iBook’s price and performance as a combination that could not be matched by any other vendor. In related news, Taiwanese manufacturer Alpha-Top, which manufactures the iBook, announced today that it expects to ship 1 million notebook computers in 2001—85 percent of which will be Apple products, according to Macworld UK.
