Apple has released a utility for their new iPod music player that has two simple functions — update and restore. iPod Updater 1.0 will restore your iPod to what Apple calls “factory fresh” condition, while the updater feature will download new software to your iPod if it is not currently up-to-date. This utility will work under Mac OS 9.2.1 or Mac OS X 10.1.
