ELS, Inc. has filed a trademark infringement suit against Apple over the company’s Macintosh Manager application. ELS, which owns the trademark to Mac Manager, an application for desktop management and security, claims that Apple’s Macintosh Manager, which ships as part of OS X Server, infringes on its trademark and is confusing customers. “We gave Apple every opportunity to resolve this dispute without litigation. Apple just didn’t take us seriously. Filing this action, however, should be a clear sign that ELS is serious about enforcing its rights,” an attorney for ELS is quoted as saying in the press release.
