nVIDIA is rumored to be announcing the GeForce3 MX this Friday, followed by the GeForce3 Ultra on Monday, according to M3DZone (as noted by The Register). The GeForce3 MX will be a more affordable, stripped down version of the current GeForce3, running at 175MHz, making it more suitable for OEM configurations (such as Apple’s Power Mac G4). The Ultra, meanwhile, will be available in 250MHz and 260MHz configurations. It’s unknown, however, whether either the MX or Ultra cards will be available to Mac users, either in the OEM or retail space.
