Palm is expected to announce tomorrow that it will be shifting its hardware strategy (and Palm OS with it) to significantly more powerful ARM chips. ARM processors are used in PocketPC devices, and were also used in Apple’s Newton years ago. Apple owns several million shares of ARM that it acquired after helping to spin the company off.
