In a report sent to clients (not available to the public), Merrill Lynch analyst Steven Fortuna says the brokerage firm expects sales of iBooks to remain strong as Apple readies a 14-inch display iBook that they expect will be introduced at Macworld Expo next week. In late May, c|net quoted a source at AlphaTop, the manufacturer of Apple’s iBooks, as saying that a new iBook with a widescreen display and colored case was in the works. Apple denied the report. The current iBook was introduced just 10 weeks ago; a revision this soon would be atypical of Apple.
