Ingram Micro, one of the computer industry’s largest distributors (including Apple), issued an earnings warning saying revenues for the quarter would come in at between US$5.8 and $6.0 billion, or some $200 million short of analyst predictions. The company cited the weakened economy and poor sales for the decline. The warning was somewhat expected following the company’s announcement last week that it would be laying off 1,000 employees.
