Blue World has announced Lasso Studio 5 and Lasso Professional 5, new versions of its Web application server technology. Lasso Studio 5, designed for Web developers who want to create data-driven sites with a visual editor, will ship in the Fall and features new syntax checking and debugging controls, an LDML 3 to LDML 5 converter, inline builder, URL builder and live data preview. Lasso Professional 5, slated for release this summer, is a more powerful solution for building and serving data-driven sites, and introduces a next-generation Web programming language, among other features. Pricing has not yet been set for either product.
