Register.com Launches FirstStepSite, an Easy-to-Use,
On-line Site Creator Available Free with Domain Registration

FirstStepSite provides domain registration customers with a 3-page,
customizable, graphics-enhanced site they can build themselves in minutes

New York, NY – February 22, 2000 – Register.com, Inc. (www.register.com)
today announced the launch of FirstStepSite, a new free tool allowing
register.com domain registration customers to create and post their own
customized Web sites. With FirstStepSite, register.com customers can
purchase a domain name such as www.mybrand.com for $35 a year and
immediately create a Web site at that domain through the easy-to-use,
template-driven WebSiteNOW!? online Web site creation software developed by
Inabox Inc. Sites for new customers can be viewed on the Internet
immediately and are posted at the customer’s domain name within 24-hours of
creation.

“In the past, web site creation was the domain of the technologically
savvy, such as web designers and HTML coders,” said Richard Forman,
President and CEO of register.com. “With FirstStepSite, even complete
neophytes can put up a site on the Internet – including photos, graphics
and customized text – in a matter of minutes. And because it’s free with
the purchase of a domain name, our customers can register a personalized
domain name, such as www.my-identity.com, and then immediately put up a
site at that domain by following a few simple steps.”

Once a domain name has been registered through register.com, FirstStepSite
enables an individual user to author and publish Web pages via
WebSiteNOW!?’s collection of easy-to-use templates and other on-line
editing tools. Templates are customized to provide graphics for general
interest and business sites, seasonal and holiday sites, and special
occasions or announcements such as weddings, births, anniversaries or
parties.

“Inabox is delighted to be a part of Register.com’s efforts to continue to
add value to domain names through easy-to-use tools such as WebSiteNOW!?”,
said Rafael Collado, Chairman and CEO of Inabox. “Thanks to FirstStepSite,
consumers and businesses can immediately put their domain name to use.”

Existing register.com customers whose names reside on register.com’s domain
name servers (DNS) can also create a FirstStepSite at no charge by logging
on to Manage My Domain? on the register.com Web site.
FirstStepSites can be created for domain names across all 29 automatic
domain extensions, including .co.uk., .org.nz and .md.
