iPhone 5s Online Orders, In-store Purchases Start...

Apple will begin accepting online orders for the iPhone 5s on Friday, September 20, at 12:01AM pacific time (3:01AM eastern), and in-store purchases will start at 8AM local time, as will iPhone 5c in-store purchases. Since the iPhone 5s isn't available for pre-order, there's a good chance that means Apple's inventory will be very limited.

The Mac Observer Spin:
If you want an iPhone 5s right away, get ready to stand in line on the 20th. Get ready for disappointment, too, because there's a good chance stores won't have many in stock.

Apple Launches iPhone 5c Preorders, Not Sold Out Yet

Apple's brand new iPhone 5c will be in stores on September 20, but the company and its partner carriers began accepting preorders early Friday morning. As of 9AM eastern time, all models were still available for order with delivery on launch day.

The Mac Observer Spin:
Just because iPhone 5c preorders aren't already sold out doesn't mean Apple has a flop on its hands. The company could have been able to ramp up production enough to meet demand, and that may have played a part in why the iPhone 5s isn't available for preorder.
