What is MacTech Conference?

MacTech Conference is a 3-day, immersive, technical conference specifically designed for Apple developers, IT Pros, and Enterprise. "The whole idea of MacTech Conference is to allow members of the Apple community to meet and exchange ideas," said Edward Marczak, Conference Chair and Executive Editor of MacTech Magazine. "This will be spurred on by presentations from some of the best and well-known experts in the community."

MacTech Conference will have two separate tracks: one focused on programming / development, and the other on IT/Enterprise and consulting. Sessions will focus on both desktop and mobile, as well as OS X and iOS.

Each year, MacTech Conference gets better and better. If you want to know more about the inaugural MacTech Conference event, you can do a web search, or see the recap article by Rob Griffiths at Macworld.

Who Should Attend?

Technologists passionate about improving their craft. IT Professionals, Consultants and Developers that focus on Apple technologies. Anyone that wants to get an idea of where technology is headed and how it intersects with everyday life.

Why Should I Attend?

Simply put: The content. The people. The experience.

You're going to leave a better, more connected tech. We want you to learn better ways of working directly from the people that are already putting new tools and practices to work. When you're ready, go register here.

You'll be in an immersive environment with your peers and the best talent in the Apple community. MacTech Conference will provide opportunities for structured and unstructured conversations. Think of it as the ultimate hallway session.

Most importantly, before you're a great Mac or Apple tech, you need to be a great tech. The comprehensive list of sessions looks to lay the foundation that taps you into the topics that you need to be a great tech. See the list of topics for more specific information.

How do MacTech's Boot Camp, InDepth and Conference differ?

While both events can be of interest to anyone technical, the focus of MacTech Conference is a three-day immersive conference for IT Pros, Consultants, and Developers that focus on the Macintosh and Apple technologies. MacTech Boot Camp, on the other hand, is a one day event specifically for those supporting small to medium sized business, home office, and home users. MacTech InDepth is also a one day event taking a deep dive on a single topic.

Amazing Speakers

From our keynote speaker, to all of the speakers in the Developer and IT Tracks, MacTech Conference draws from the best and brightest in then industry. Our speakers come not only from all over the country, but from more than half a dozen countries. A world-class line up of world-class talent. Don't take our word for it: see for yourself.

Packed Schedule. Morning 'til Night.

You won't just be in sessions hearing about great technologies and products. MacTech Conference has a packed evening schedule designed not only to be fun, but also to give you the opportunities to get to know your fellow attendees.

Apple Certification Tests Available

Have you been dragging you feet on getting that Apple Certification you've always wanted? Well, now's the time to get it done! Apple Certifications are one of the best ways to prove to your clients or employer that you possess the knowledge & know-how to be considered a guru in your Mac-related field of expertise. You can take any available Apple Certification testing exam on-site at MacTech Conference, immediately after the close of the event. For more information, see our Apple Certification Testing page.

Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8 (Lion and Mountain Lion)

MacTech Conference will be one of the first events and a key opportunity to discuss Mac OS X 10.8 ("Mountain Lion"), how to take advantage of the new technologies, the impacts of Mountain Lion's new features, and issues in development and management of Mountain Lion and related software. Attendees can talk through their options with industry experts and peers, form strategies for adoption and support, and more.

iOS 5

iOS 5 is the lastest major version of the mobile OS from Apple (and we may see iOS 6 by MacTech Conference). Like Mountain Lion, MacTech Conference will likely be one of the first events and a key opportunity to discuss iOS 6, writing software for it, managing devices, and more. MacTech Conference is not only your opportunity to learn from the speakers, but from the attendees.

iCloud

iCloud is not just another cloud, it's a platform unique to Apple devices. It gives developers, and IT Pros unique opportunities not afforded on other platforms. But, with opportunities also comes challenges. Again, MacTech Conference is one of the first events and a key opportunity to discuss iCloud, developing for it, solutions in using it, and challenges for IT Pros and Enterprise. Learn from expert speakers, as well as fellow attendees, on best practices, creative ideas, and strategies for adoption, and support.

All Meals Included

This is an immersive conference, and as such, the time you spend with peers you know and new people that you meet is as important as the sessions themselves. We'll be feeding you throughout the event not only to make it all inclusive, but also so that you can maximize your time with other attendees. For more information on meals, special hotel rates and more, see our hotel and travel page.

Talk to Key Vendors

MacTech selects key vendors to be a part of our events. Speak to representatives from companies about the solutions they offer. It's a unique opportunity to make contacts within these companies and get your questions answered.

Space is Limited

We have a limited number of conference attendee spots and hotel rooms available. As a conference with hundreds -- not thousands -- of people, we want you to have time to get to know people. But, that also means that (like other conferences in the Apple market) if you don't act fast, you may miss out. Furthermore, there's a limited number of Advanced registrations (early bird registration has already sold through).

Pricing: Apple Certification Bundle/Options

MacTech Conference is priced economically including food, a MacTech Magazine subscription, a schedule packed full of sessions, exclusive entertainment, and more.

Save $500 if you Register Now on early bird pricing. Early-bird registration price is $799 and ends June 1, 2012. After that, pre-registration pricing will be $999. On site registration, if available at all, will be in very limited quantities at $1299.

Don't wait. Register today by clicking here.

Note: Partial and full student scholarships are available. See student page for more information on education discount for students, faculty and educational institution staff.

Media Outlets are Thoroughly Involved

These great publications and sites will be covering MacTech Conference in a variety of different ways.

The conference will have on-site editorial teams from assorted media outlets, discussion tables with the media at meals, and we've already been asked by reporters to do interviews with developers and techs, articles on the conference and more.

Is that it?

There will be a few surprises along the way, too. The most important benefit is that you return to your work energized, with new ideas and new contacts that will let you work smarter, not harder. Register here.
