Kool Tools: FontAgent Pro 6

Insider Software's FontAgent Pro 6 has always been a useful professional font manager for the Mac, as it integrates diagnostics, repair, font selection, font book creation, and design tools.

Version 6 makes it even better thanks to the addition of a new Workflow Center, support for Adobe Creative Cloud, more than 1,350 free fonts, faster font search, more powerful ESP keyword font search, expanded font verification, and Smasher 3 automatic maintenance software.

The Workflow Center provides a place where automation scripts can be organized and launched easily. The center updates automatically as new functionality becomes available. The Workflow Center includes many one-click scripts that enable you to:

° Add searchable comments to multiple fonts or entire font families;

° Organize your fonts by name or foundry;

° Count and list currently open fonts;

° Remove duplicate fonts;

° Find and download fonts;

° Review logs of font activations and deactivations;

° Verify the integrity of all your fonts.

FontAgent Pro 6 provides Adobe Creative Cloud auto-activation plug-ins for InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and InCopy. The bundled Smasher 3 software that provides automatic font, print and application cache maintenance.

The latest version of FontAgent Pro 6 offers faster, expanded keyword-search engine for finding local and Internet fonts simultaneously. It also boasts an improved, faster font verification and validation engine, as well as an updated and expanded user interface.

FontAgent Pro's features include multiple font libraries, a customizable user interface, live font search, WYSIWYG font viewing, and a Font Player that plays glyphs and text strings in a slide show for interactive font selection.

FontAgent Pro requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or high. It supports all Mac OS X fonts -- Open Type, Type 1, dfont, Mac and Windows TrueType -- as well as local and networked home directories. Version 6 adds auto-activation support for Adobe Creative Cloud, Creative Suite 3 to 6, and QuarkXPress 6 to 9. It's compatible with FontAgent Pro Server 5, TeamServer 5 and CloudServer (separate license required)

FontAgent Pro 6 for Mac is free to users who have current support and maintenance agreements or who purchased FontAgent Pro 5 after July 1, 2013.
