Comm-Unity Networking Systems has released CNS Image 1.6, an update of the FileMaker Pro plug-in for working with images stored in container fields or on your hard drive.  The big change in the FileMaker Pro plug-in is an update to the latest version of ImageMagick bringing in almost two years of improvements to the image manipulation library.

With this plug-in you can: do custom imports and exports; change image formats; stretch, crop, resize, rotate, and flip images; and apply filters like blur, contrast, brightness, emboss and the like to images. Version 1.5 is a complete rewrite of the plug-in, which fixes several issues and brings with it a Server Edition for using with FileMaker Server.

CNS Image is available immediately at http://cnsimage.cnsplug-ins.com/ for both Mac OS X and Windows. a demo is available for download. Version 1.6 is a free upgrade for anyone with a 1.x.x license. For new users the cost is US$65 for a single-user license.
