Apple shares fell as much as 3% today — down to US$582.30 at one point. It was the first time Apple’s stock had gone below $600 a share since March 30.

Apple will report its latest quarterly results on April 24. Analyst Brian Marshall of ISI Group told “MarketWatch” (http://macte.ch/aVHnO) that the decline was likely due to “a simple collapsing” of the stock on its own weight as Apple shares have risen about 45% this year.
