Philips Lighting (www.philips.com) is introducing the newest addition to the Philips Hue connected lighting ecosystem: Philips Hue white ambiance.

Philips Hue white ambiance unlocks the power of connected white light, inspired by the sun, to deliver every shade of white light, from cool daylight (6500k) to warm white light (2200k), according to says Chris Worp, leader of Philips home lighting business. With the new “Routines” feature in the Philips Hue app, Philips Hue white ambiance can gradually brighten to help you wake up naturally in the morning, and dim to low levels, helping you fall asleep at night. You can also use light recipes proven to help you feel relaxed, concentrated or energized, Worp adds.

The Philips Hue white ambiance starter kit includes two Philips Hue white ambiance bulbs, (800 lumens at 4000k) compatible with existing light fixtures, a bridge that supports Apple HomeKit and a wireless dimming switch, so lighting can be controlled from any room in the house via smartphone and tablet, or with the press of a button. Philips Hue white ambiance is fully compatible with existing Philips Hue products and over 600 third-party apps.

Philips Hue white ambiance will be available in the U.S. in spring 2016, with integrated luminaires available in fall 2016.
