Appologics has ported AirBeam, their app for video surveillance on iOS, to the Mac. It requires Mac OS X 10.7.x, costs US$3.99 and is available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Video category.

AirBeam Pro streams live video and audio in HD quality from the Mac’s camera and microphone across a WiFi or 3G network. The stream can be followed with a web browser or with iPhones, iPods or iPads.

iDevices can be used as remote cameras and watched with the Mac app. Features include: multi camera support for watching several camera devices simultaneously from a single monitor device; multi monitor support for broadcasting a single camera device to multiple monitors at the same time; automatic discovery of AirBeam cameras on a single WiFi network; and high def, low latency streaming with resolution up to HD 720p (1280×720 pixel) and up to 30 frames per second.
