Appologics has announced AirBeam for Mac (http://appologics.com/airbeam), the desktop counterpart to their iOS video surveillance solution. It requires Mac OS X 10.6.6. or higher. It’s free and available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Photography category.

AirBeam streams live camera video in high resolution with up to 30 frames per second between iPhones, iPods and iPads, and now also towards any Mac. AirBeam for Mac supports all the features from the iOS app such as video recording, motion detection and more.

The software is designed to turn your desktop into a video monitoring center. AirBeam for Mac supports viewing multiple cameras in parallel and makes use of OS X 10.7 (“Lion”) technologies such as the ability to flick through fullscreen views of multiple cameras.
