Adikus has announced Barbu for iOS. It’s an US40.99 card game for one player. In the style of bridge or hearts, Barbu differs from most other card games in that each four-player hand has different rules. A complete game consists of 28 hands. During each of the player’s seven deals he or she may choose one of the seven sets of rules, or contracts, available for that hand. The objective of the game is to achieve the highest total score out of the four players.

Scary Robot Productions has released their second free iPhone game, Chick-Tac-Toe, in which players square off against a humorously animated chicken in a game of tic-tac-toe. Battle back and forth in a best of five matchup while laughing at the antics of the chicken that reacts in unexpected ways to all of the wins and losses. Three difficulty levels help to ensure a challenge for all ages and skill levels.

Duchy Software has introduced Star Jar for iOS devices. The $0.99 takes the paper-based child reward system to a digital age and is designed to encourage good behavior.

TopoMonkey has launched GeoFlight USA for iOS. The goal of the game — being offered free until April 9– is to flay airplane as quickly as possible to the right destination on the map as you learn U.S. geography.

Joyr has premiered Color Test 1.0 for iOS,. The free app offers “users a way to gain deeper insight into themselves and sheds new light on decisions and questions they may be pondering.” It works from the premise that thoughts, desires, and emotions have an effect on the user’s attraction to a color or combination of colors.

Mars Tech has unleashed Galactic Ninja 1.0, its new gaming title for iOS devices. The $0.99 combines a shoot ’em up scenario with the story of three ninja warriors. They struggle to defeat an evil maniac who killed their grand master.

eMedia Music Corp. has presented eMedia Guitar Method for iPad. It’s $19.99 multimedia guitar instruction software.

Bobblebrook has rolled out their third iOS game, Cign of Vantage. It’s a $0.99 puzzle game that becomes more of a “zen-exercise” ( as you play it. You’re given a three-dimensional cloud of pixels that line up to form an icon from one and only one perspective. Your job is to rotate this cloud of pixels until the image emerges.

V Island Lab has floated out Hot Air Balloon HD for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It’s a $0.99 arcade game in which you’re taking a hot air balloon trip, but enemies are trying to stop you.

GreatCall — which specializes in wireless services focused on helping people stay connected, safe and healthy — has morphed its LiveNurse service into a mobile iPhone app that offers real-time, unlimited access to a registered nurse for advice 24 hours a day, seven days a week by just simply tapping an icon on your device. The nurse will ask a few basic questions and follow standard medical protocols to direct the caller to the appropriate care for their situation. LiveNurse is priced at US$3.99 per month.

Rifra Mobile Apps has created Euro2012 Plus ($0.99), an iOS companion for following the European Football Championship. The user can also actively participate in the European Championship through the game of predictions by trying to predict the outcome of each match.

Afterplay has developed iPhone Free Currency Converter — Know Rates. The free app integrates 161 worldwide currencies and works even if you’re offline.

Bump Record is a new iPhone and iPad volleyball game intended for young kids learning the game and adults who love the game. The goal in the $0.99 app is to keep the volleyballs alive by bumping them up with a swipe of the finger and establishing a personal record of consecutive bumps. You can bump off walls, bump indoors and on the beach-but you can’t let the balls hit the ground. Balls heat up and can be spiked when they catch fire. The game connects to Game Center.
