SpinIsland has announced Piffle Connect Lite for iPhone and iPad. The free app adds a new dimension to social word gaming by limiting the user to only 80 seconds to complete their turn, and by adding animation to the tile movements. The faster the player completes a turn, the more bonus points rack up. A turn is completed by placing letters on top of, or in between the letters of the opponent’s previously created word in an attempt to create a new word.

Creanncy has released Top Photo Editor for iPad 2. The US$4.99 app offers a photo editor with filters pack and extra camera. You can create effects on photos, either taken with the camera or loaded from the photo album.

KenigArt has unveiled Camera GFX for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4. The app offers a largest filter collection with filters and effects. Camera GFX includes high resolution support and an undo function with preview. It costs US$4.99 for the iPad version and $0.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch.

iDevelopersLab has introduced Camera PRO Nightshoot for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4. The app can apply a real time “night shoot” effect to your photos taken or loaded. The application allows users to import large photos with any resolution, as well as share your images to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and more. It costs US$4.99 for the iPad version and $1.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch.

The Gamma Project has debuted iSyslog 1.0, a $1.99 monitoring tool for iOS devices. The app helps both end users and experts to check out what’s going on under the hood on their devices.

Sea Animals has swam out from Breek. The iPhone and iPod touch app ($2.99) was developed by parents for their children with the help of a schoolteacher, Sea Animals offers an interactive approach to stimulate your child’s mind. The app features 20 original drawings with real animals sounds.

AppsAxehas cooked up Facebook Smileys 1.0, a social networking app for iOS devices. The $0.99 utility lets you use the FaceBook smileys with ease from your phone’s keyboard.

Mosquito Rush 1.0 for iOS has swarmed from Panorama Concepts. In the $0.99 app, you become the king of all mosquitos. You can show off your fellow mosquitos some bloodsucking skills by targeting girls in the beach. Things will not go smoothly though, as you will have to steer away from insect repellents, poison pills and avoid enemies such as dragonflies, spiders, butterflies and many more.

Zombie Bumper Cars — the first in a proposed trilogy of zombie flavored games for the iPhone, the iPod touch and the iPad — has shambled onto the scene. The goal of the $0.99 game is to survive as long as you can in one of eight themed bumper car arenas, against hoards of zombie driven bumper cars.

Bertil Horberg has floated out Helium Boy 1.0, a 3D platform game for iOS devices. The $1.99 app offers a modern take on the classic Nintendo games Balloon Fight and Balloon Kid. The player uses helium balloons to fly through colorful environments and collect stars while avoiding birds, ninjas and other dangers. The game has eight levels.

Rechichi App Dev has cooked out JumpMania, a game for the iPhone where players control the unstoppable Stickman as he leaps, bounces, roll-jumps, and teleports his way through a series of never-ending platforms. In the $0.99 game, players tilt their devices left or right to make the jumps shorter or farther. They can tap anywhere on the screen after bouncing for a roll jump. Players must be careful to win, though one wrong jump in the game and Stickman falls off the platform.

A&R Entertainment has developed 25-in-1 Free Educational Games HD 1.0 for iPad, a sampler of 25 of their most games for children ages 2-6. Included in 25-in-1 ($1.99) are the following kinds of games: puzzle, memory, Tangram, drawing, spelling, arcade, sound, difference, math, slider puzzle, visual, and wood block puzzle.

Adelie Software has created Magic Map 1.0, a travel utility for the iPhone and iPad 3G. The $2.99 app uses the GPS and compass to point the way to rides, entertainment, dining and more at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Our House Interactive has published “Mother Goose Original I,” an $2.99 interactive book for the iPad. You can tilt, turn, push, pull and delight in a baker’s dozen (that’s 13) nursery rhymes from Mother Goose.

iStoryTime, along with HarperCollins Children’s Books, has rolled out Biscuit Visits the Pumpkin Patch 1.0 for iOS. The $2.99 iOS version of the family classic now includes animations, sound effects, find-the-bone mini game, coloring book and create-a-scene digital sticker book.

Hindsight Labs has announced Packing Pal 1.0, a $2.99 iPhone app designed to help make packing for trips easy. It lets travelers create customized packing lists containing everything you need to pack. Packing Pal ships with a pre-defined catalog containing hundreds of commonly packed items.

Houdah Software has released ACTPrinter 1.0 for iOS and Android. The $1.99 app turns mobile iOS and Android devices into virtual printers for your Mac or Windows computer. With ACTPrinter all your documents travel with you, digitally. Beyond serving as a medium for tickets and the like, ACTPrinter is also a document reader. Bar codes may be scanned right off the display of your phone or tablet.
