Jane’s Hotel (http://macte.ch/xcquZ), a casual time management game, has come to the Mac App Store. It requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later and costs US$6.99.

“Here’s how the game is described: In Jane’s Hotel the players are given a chance to help the series’ main protagonist Jane run her own hotel empire. The player controls Jane and a chambermaid in order to keep the guests comfortable by providing them with everything a traveler needs to relax.

“Jane does not inherit a famous hotel franchise so she could enjoy herself while someone else is in charge. With all the money she has Jane buys a small motel on the outskirts of town and starts attracting guests by providing the best customer service they have ever experienced.

“The player controls Jane and a chambermaid in order to keep the guests comfortable by providing them with everything a traveler needs to relax. The challenge comes from applying all the multitasking skills the players have to satisfy the most demanding clients and keep the hotel clean and cozy. Players’ goal is to make all guests come, spend time, and leave the hotel with a smile on their faces because happy customers leave big tips.

“With all the money Jane gets, players can purchase furniture, appliances and add other little details to make the hotel a better place to stay at. Besides spending the money, guests also spread the good word about the hotel and its reputation increases. The higher the status of the hotel, the closer the player is to upgrading it to a 3, then 4 and finally 5 star hotel — a place where even kings feel like home.
