ProVUE Development has released Appalicious 1.0 (http://www.appaliciousapp.com), a shopping assistant program that works as a companion to the Mac App Store.

Appalicious enhances the software selection process by helping users navigate smoothly and helping them find the best deals among the thousands of apps available the store, according to ProVUE President James Rea. When in use, Appalicious loads the entire store catalog into RAM to ensure flexible operation and blazing fast searching, sorting, and overall organization, he adds.

Appalicious offers a customizable spreadsheet interface, searching and sorting, version & price history (including discount tracking), the ability to view multiple apps at once and recently viewed, wish list and searchable notes.

Appalicious requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later and is OS X 10.7 (“Lion”) compatible. The application is free, but a subscription is required to receive daily Mac App Store updates. The software includes a free seven-day trial subscription; after that subscriptions are US$12.95 per year or $19.95 for two years.

For a limited time introductory subscriptions are available for $7.95 per year. Use the code “INTRO” to receive this special offer. Subscriptions are purchased from within the app.
