Echofon (http://www.echofon.com/) has announced the availability of completely updated versions of Echofon for the Mac and Firefox, completing a full-line upgrade that began in February with new versions of Echofon for the iPad and iPhone. Echofon, which is free, uses indicators to show which Tweets have photos, videos, location, conversations, etc.
Echofon for Firefox has been redesigned with a new user interface. It can be used in a sidebar, a panel or an individual window. Lists and search functionality have been expanded. A new user view has been implemented with user timeline, following and followers lists.
Direct messages are now displayed in conversation view to facilitate easy communication. The mute functionality has been expanded to include users, applications and hashtags. Additional features in the Mac version include: the ability to attach photos to Tweets with drag and drop and the ability to attach screen captures, the current iTunes song, or the current page being viewed in Safari to a Tweet.
