Eltima Software has released SyncMate 3 (http://www.sync-mac.com), an update of the software for syncing data between a Mac to Windows Mobile handheld devices. Just remember: beta software is unfinished software so use with care.

The new version allows syncing contacts and calendar entries on Mac and Android, viewing text messages on a Mac for free, and offers extra options in Expert Edition. For example, SyncMate Expert will sync iTunes, iPhoto, folders with files and bookmarks between Mac and Android phone.

What’s more, with Expert Edition all users can manage Android texts on a Mac, and send them, delete them, or export into different formats. The upgrade brings improvements to “Mount device” option as well.

Now it is possible to mount Windows Mobile and Android devices as additional Mac disks via Wi-Fi, USB or Bluetooth and viewing devices’ content directly on Mac computer. With SyncMate 3, users can choose which account on Mac or Windows PC to sync with (in case they have several accounts and want to sync them respectively).

SyncMate is compatible with Mac OS X platform (Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS X 10.6 (32-bit and 64-bit operating systems). Device compatibility: Windows Mobile Pocket 5, Windows Mobile Smartphone 5; Windows Mobile 6 Standard, Windows Mobile 6 Classic and Windows Mobile 6 Professional; Windows Mobile 6.1, Windows Mobile 6.5; Android OS 1.6, 2.1; Nokia S40 devices; PSP (running Firmware 2.7.1 or higher);  MS Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7.
