Balooba Software has updated Safari Prairiefire, a Mac OS X tool that allows the user to automatically scan and clean up Safari’s bookmarks, to version 1.5.

With the tool, the user gets presented with a unique, clearly outlined list of all Safari web bookmarks. Version 1.5 brings performance upgrades. Scanning, checking duplicates and deleting unwanted bookmarks are now up to 100 times faster, according to Balooba Software CEO Peter Berglund.

Safari Prairiefire also allows the user to automatically scan and clean up Safari’s bookmarks. The user gets presented with an outlined and intuitive list of all Safari web bookmarks. Users can then perform a scan where each bookmark link is tested and verified for accuracy and online status. The user can then select Individual or groups of bookmarks and edit or remove outdated, unwanted or bad links. Duplicate bookmarks can be identified and removed.

Safari Prairiefire costs US$6 throughout January; a demo version is available for download from the Balooba Software web site (http://balooba.se/). The upgrade to version 1.5.0 is free for all registered users.
