Hindsight Labs has announced Paprika Recipe Manager 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The US$4.99 app lets you create your own recipes, save recipes from any web site, and organize them the way you want. Paprika Recipe Manager has support for Paprika Cloud Sync, an online sync solution that allows users to keep their recipes, grocery lists, and meals automatically synchronized across multiple devices.

Fullpower-MotionX has released MotionX-GPS Drive for the iPhone and iPad tablet, with HD Speech Synthesis for spoken street names. It offers users a choice between the natural voice for turn-by-turn driving instructions or synthesized voice. The new version is built specifically for the iPad. MotionX-GPS Drive is immediately available for the iPhone at $0.99 and for the iPad at $2.99. The application covers the U.S. and Canada and includes 30 days of free Live Voice Guidance. Additional guidance packages are available at $2.99 for 30 days or $19.99 for a year.

SiteScout 1.0 is a new $4.99 iPhone app for location scouts and location professionals that need to catalog and send location information. It identifies locations from GPS, an address search, or from the location information associated with saved photos. You can assign multiple notes, photos and contacts for each location. Theres built-in email support for sending the location information to a client or back to the office.

Hello-Hello has introduced 10 new language learning apps for the iPad: Basic Chinese, Basic English, Basic French, Basic German, Basic Indonesian, Basic Italian, Basic Japanese, Basic Portuguese, Basic Spanish and Basic Dutch. The apps — which are $9.99 each — contain more than 1,000 words and phrasesused in day-to-day communications in airports, hotels, restaurants, department stores, railway stations and other places.

Scholastic Media, a division of Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, has unveiled its “Touch & Tilt” line of iPad book applications. The three apps — “I Love You Through and Through,” The Magic Bus: Oceans” and “Go, Clifford, Go!” — introduce age appropriate, re-playable reading experiences. They cost $4.99, $7.99 and $4.99, respectively. “Lite” versions of each are available.
