SEGA has announced Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch for US$9.99.

SpeechTrans has released their SpeechTrans German English Translator 1.0 for iOS devices. The $9.99 app translates spoken language, allowing users to talk into their iPhone in one language, and then hear a natural voice speaking the translated words in another. SpeechTrans utilizes Nuance’s core Dragon voice technology — the same technology at the heart of the trusted Dragon NaturallySpeaking dictation software.

Geomium is a free social networking iOS app that lets users can see what everyone around them is up to, find friends and meet new people. It’s also possible to check out all of the hottest events, bars and restaurants and top deals nearby.

One Man Left Studios has produced Tilt to Live HD 1.0, the iPad version of its iPhone hit game. It’s an arcade shooter with a combat system. Rather than endlessly firing at enemies, players must evade them long enough to reach a weapon orb. The iPad edition offers four game types, nine unlockable weapons, and 43 award challenges. Allowing users to sample the goods in demo mode, Tilt to Live HD 1.0 is free. The demo includes the Classic gametype only. You can upgrade to the full version for $3.99.

Winnie the Pooh, the beloved Disney character, will star in his first ever book-based app with the release of the “Winnie the Pooh: What’s a Bear to Do?” Puzzle Book App on the Apple App Store for $0.99. The universal app, Disney Publishing’s first, “delivers an immersive and interactive reading experience for pre-schoolers” on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

X1 Technologies — which specializes in email, desktop, and ediscovery search solutions — has announced X1 Mobile Search, bringing the X1 search experience to iOS-powered devices. The $9.99 app allows a user’s iPhone, iPad, or iPod to act as an extension of his desktop computer by providing instant and secure search of desktop-bound email, attachments, documents, and files.

Betterment’s iPhone app is now available for free at the Apple App Store, enabling account balance, composition and returns updates in real-time; deposits and withdrawals; changes to stock and bond allocation; and access to full account and transaction history.

AT&T and Wallace Wireles have announced updates that will make WIC Pager from AT&T — a free healthcare notification app — accessible to more hospitals and healthcare professionals across the U.S. The WIC Pager App is now available on the Apple App Store for AT&T customers using iPhone and includes additional SMS integration, allowing hospitals and healthcare organizations to reach healthcare workers and contractors on virtually any device and on most carriers globally.

JoyApps s.r.o. has updated Star Scales Pro 2.1, their $0.99 learning tool for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users, to version 1.2. The $0.99 app teaches scale patterns instead of complicated charts and helps to improve speed and accuracy while playing the guitar as well as building muscle memory and confidence. The update incorporates new graphics, a fretboard interface and improved guitar sound.

2 For Life Media has released Ultimate Wedding Planner 1.0 for the iPad. This $4.99 wedding app “combines the authority of a national wedding magazine, the immediacy of a wedding website and the interactivity of a digital planner.”

Blaze Mobile, which specializes in mobile payment solutions, has introduced the Blaze Mobile Wallet 2.0 application for iPhone as a free download in the Apple App Store. The app boasts a new social feature called, “check out,” that allows consumers to share their purchases on Facebook.

Scott Snibbe has released Antograph 1.1, an upgrade to his $0.99 program for iOS devices. It streams realistic animated ants from fingertips onto the screen of an iPad or iPhone. Version 1.1 features new options to change the size of ants, takes advantage of the Retina Display, as well ast he latest features of iOS. Users can also post their drawings to Facebook and share via email.

CipSoft has announced TibiaME MMO 1.03, an update of their free, massively multiplayer online role playing game for the iPhone and iPod touch.
