TranslateIt! for Mac OS X adds Safari 5 support

TranslateIt! (http://www.mac.gettranslateit.com/) for Mac — a multilingual dictionary that allows looking up words on the fly — has been updated to version 12.6. Now the program works with big texts wiser. If you enter text of more than 100 symbols into dictionary window, the translation window will open automatically and the text will be translated.

Now it’s possible to connect modules of morphological analysis with a dictionary group. Rules for online-services are updated in TranslateIt! 12.6. Online-services allows to get translation from TranslateIt! without visiting of service site.

In the new version, searching of words with misprints is accelerated and optimized. Even if you enter a word without letter or with unnecessary letters, the program will show you similar words.

With TranslateIt!, you hover the pointer over an unfamiliar word (in any Cocoa Aapplication), and you will see its translation in a pop-up window. It comes with several free dictionaries for a large number of languages. TranslateIt! supports translation from/to any language (corresponding dictionaries must be installed), English sounds (it contains over 17,000 English words pronunciations) and printing of flash cards.

The software also comes with a Words Quiz (a game for learning new words), a built-in DictBuilder utility for creating custom dictionaries and a multilingual user interface. TranslateIt! for Mac is distributed as shareware (US$35 for a one-year license, $79 for a lifetime license); a 20-day demo version is available for download. Version 12.6 is a free update for registered users of version 12.x.
