Extensis launches cloud-based web font service: WebINK

Extensis, a division of Celartem Inc., today announced that the web font rental service, WebINK (http://www.webink.com) is now fully available to the public.

“Typography has always been a part of high-quality print design,” says Celartem CEO Osamu Ikeda. “WebINK allows designers to be as discriminating about their typography on the web, as they have been in print.”

With an eye for quality, Extensis has partnered with several type foundries to provide around 2000 high quality web fonts through WebIN, he adds. New partners and typefaces are being added regularly. Users can browse, select and implement fonts from any of nine partner foundries.

WebINK can be accessed online, or through the WebINK features integrated into Suitcase Fusion 3, Extensis’ single-user font management solution. To get started using WebINK, all new users automatically receive the first 30 days free of charge. Users can select and implement as many web fonts on as many web sites during the 30-day trial without charge.

To help Suitcase Fusion 3 users get a taste of web fonts, each purchase or upgrade to Suitcase Fusion 3 includes one full year of free introductory WebINK service. For details about the free WebINK promotion see www.extensis.com/FreeWebINK2010 .
