Apple’s iTunes grabs 80% of UK market

The iTunes Music Store in the UK has gained 80% of the market share in the UK, reports Macworld UK. “Citing figures from the Official Charts Company (OCC) Apple declared iTunes to be the number one UK digital music service, with over 1.7 million songs in the UK catalogue.” The site also notes that Apple is making Jamie Cullum’s new album available for pre-order now before it “digitally ships” on September 13. Pre-order customers will receive a deluxe version, which includes the album, video, digital booklet and an exclusive live EP from a performance at the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.
