EarthDesk gets Southern Hemisphere Perspective option

EarthDesk 2.7 is the latest version of the popular dynamic desktop map application. EarthDesk replaces your static desktop picture with an animated, real-time rendered image of the Earth, continuously updating in the background while you work. It supports eleven different map projections, political and satellite views, and renders accurate sun, moon and city lighting. Version 2.7 includes a unique Southern Hemisphere Perspective option to place the South Pole at the top of the map. Often referred to as an upside-down map, this view breaks with the European tradition that “North is up.” EarthDesk 2.7 also fixes minor bugs reported since the last update. The software sells for US$19.95.
