Proteus development changes hands

Defaultware, a division of visual effects and design company Defaultmind, announced today that it has taken over development of the multi-client chat application Proteus. Justin Wood, the original developer, has landed a job at Apple and therefore has handed off development to Defaultware. “Now Proteus also has our company’s money to back its development and distribution,” Defaultware said in a statement. “We have a lot of big plans for Proteus, all of which we are pretty comfortable will make you users happy. It will be a long road to get all the cool stuff we want in there, but stay tuned folks! Proteus has a bright future ahead!”
