FileMaker has announced the immediate availability of FileMaker Server 7, its new server software for hosting FileMaker Pro 7 database files. Version 7 includes increased database performance, increased database capacity, improved administration, and enhanced security. FileMaker Server 7 (US$999/$499 upgrade) is shipping to FileMaker volume license customers starting today. The company plans to begin shipping retail units to all other customers and distribution partners June 2.
