Nikon intros new cameras with red-eye correction

Nikon today announced two new consumer digital cameras—the 5.1 megapixel Coolpix 5200 and 4.0 megapixel Coolpix 4200. Both models offer in-camera image correction with advanced red-eye reduction; 3x optical zoom; 12MB of internal memory and compatibility with SD memory cards; three movie modes (5200 only); PictBridge support; and use Nikon’s pro-quality grade ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass. The 5200 will sell for US$499.95, while the 4200 will retails for $399.95. Both cameras will be available in Spring 2004.
