Apple addresses iBook logic board problems

Apple has launched the iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program, which covers repair cost or replacement (including shipping charges) of the logic board in specific iBook models manufactured between May 2002 and April 2003 that are experiencing specific component failures. Apple also said it will reimburse iBook owners who have already paid for eligible repairs before this program was launched. The program, which begins today, covers affected iBooks for three years after the first retail sale of the unit.
