Roxio is now shipping Toast Titanium 6, the latest version of its popular CD and DVD burning software for Mac OS X. “We began shipping to the distributors the day the press release was issued, and they began shipping to retailers early last week, so the product should have just started to appear on store shelves during the holiday weekend,” Roxio’s Elizabeth Olson told MacMinute. “The ‘official’ launch is being celebrated at the SoHo Apple Store on September 6th.” The new version, which was announced last month, lets users author Video CDs, Super VCDs and DVDs. The US$99.95 software also introduces ToastAnywhere, which enables Toast 6 users to share CD and DVD burners across a local network or the Internet; and “Plug & Burn,” which simplifies creating video discs.
