OPEN DOOR NETWORKS SHIPS UPGRADED WHO’S THERE? FIREWALL ADVISOR FOR MAC OS X
PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR MAC OS X 10.2 (JAGUAR)
ASHLAND, OR. — September 30, 2002 — Open Door Networks Inc. today
announced that it was shipping version 1.3 of its Who’s There? Firewall
Advisor for Mac OS X. Who’s There? Firewall Advisor enhances Macintosh
Internet security by helping users analyze, investigate and respond to
access attempts to their Macintosh. Who’s There? 1.3 updates the product
for use with Jaguar, Apple’s newest version of the Mac OS X operating
system.
Who’s There? 1.3 provides support for Jaguar’s new Mail application, and
includes updates to the service definitions it uses to provide advice on
access attempts. It continues to support the Norton Personal Firewall, Mac
OS X Server, Brickhouse, and any other firewall that uses Mac OS X’s
built-in firewall and logging capabilities.
The Who’s There? for Mac OS X upgrade is free for owners of version 1.2 of
the product, or $29 otherwise. The upgrade, a free evaluation version of
the product itself and additional details on the product are available
directly from the Who’s There? Web site at
http://www.opendoor.com/whosthere/ . A version of Who’s There? specific to
Mac OS 9, which has significantly different security characteristics from
OS X, is also available.
