160GB hard drive coming from Maxtor

Maxtor will announce two new Ultra ATA/133 hard drives later today, according to Macworld UK: the D540X, a 160GB, 5,400 RPM hard drive, which extends Maxtor’s reign as offering the world’s largest capacity hard drive, and the D720X is an 80GB, 7,200 RPM drive. Both drives will ship with an Ultra ATA/133 PCI card, although it’s unclear whether there will be Mac support for the card (current Power Mac G4s from Apple feature a much slower, albeit compatible, Ultra ATA/66 interface).
